Compact weighted Frobenius-Perron operators and their spectra
In this note we characterize the compact weighted Frobenius-Perron operator $p$ on $L^1(Sigma)$ and determine their spectra. We also show that every weakly compact weighted Frobenius-Perron operator on $L^1(Sigma)$ is compact.
متن کاملA new method for Eosin preparation and examination of its absorption and emission spectra
Eosin is one of the original dyes of xanthenes derivatives. It is also one of the main derivatives of fluorescein and has brilliant fluorescence. Eosin disodium salt called "Eosin Y" is the most useful form of this compound. In common procedures, eosin is usually obtained by the action of bromine on fluorescein, which has not good yield and purity degree. In this research, it is prepared by the...
متن کاملMultifractal spectra and precise rates of decay in homogeneous fragmentations
We consider a mass-conservative fragmentation of the unit interval. Motivated by a result of Berestycki [3], the main purpose of this work is to specify the Hausdorff dimension of the set of locations having exactly an exponential decay. The study relies on an additive martingale which arises naturally in this setting, and a class of Lévy processes constrained to stay in a finite interval.
متن کاملSemiclassical calculation of decay rates
Several relevant aspects of quantum-field processes can be well described by semiclassical methods. In particular, the knowledge of non-trivial classical solutions of the field equations, and the thermal and quantum fluctuations around them, provide non-perturbative information about the theory. In this work, we discuss the calculation of the one-loop effective action from the semiclasssical vi...
متن کاملSpectra of Regular Polytopes
Introduction As is well known, the combinatorial problem of counting paths of length n between two xed vertices in a graph reduces to raising the adjacency matrix A of the graph to the n-th power ((B], p. 11). For an undirected graph, A is symmetric and the problem above simpliies considerably if its spectrum (A) is known and contains few distinct elements. Spectra of graphs, meaning spectra of...
